It’s been awhile since I’ve shot anything with my manual camera, but a recent encounter with a photographer friend had me reminiscing. As we move into the age of the artificial enshittification of knowledge and creativity, what better way to counter the shift but to rekindle a connection that rewards you for slowing down.

Seeing the gardens through a fixed 50mm lens is a delightful way to spend a time. Without a zoom the camera requires you to move and interact with the subject matter while providing the most lovely soft focus backgrounds to pop off of. The way we interact and experience our surrounding plays an important role in our understanding and connection with them.
