A new block printing project by Joey Bruni was installed out front for a few days to capture test images for future installations. The works displayed here recently made their debut appearance as part of Nuit Rose: ReWilding in Toronto, a festival of queer art and performance.
The 2 works which are deeply connected to one another are coded with messages that ask us to remember humans are part of nature, we can not exist with out it and we certainly can do something about the situation we find ourselves in. We feel the weight and urgency of this works message, as are many others who’ve witnessed the degradation of our climate over the decades. Only to be punctuated by what the coming super El Nino has in store for us across the world. We should all be taking drastic action to defend nature we have left around us, restore ecosystem and promote biodiversity.
Plans for future installations and land based projects are either underway or in the works. We’ll be bringing in guest artist and look forward to programming some outdoor art installations for all y’all rural lovers of art in the near future.

Defend Nature is a call to all unique beings to take action. if we refuse this responsibility the consequences will be ours to bear. the fragility of our ecosystems that provide the necessities of life are being pushed to the brink. silence, ignorance nor obedience will save us from collapse, remember we are nature and none of us would exist without it.
